Report on the October 1998 meeting of Vision-On Camcorder Club.

On October 20th 1998 the club changed it's venue to The Rose & Crown at Calverleigh near Tiverton.

On The program for the night was the annual and ever popular visit by London Camera Exchange Video Centre from Exeter. Members were treated to a demonstration of the Casablanca non linear editing system, which convinced one more member to part with hard earned cash in the pursuit of ever better videos. The club now has two members using Casablanca and 3 others using other PC based non linear editing systems. LCE also showed a number of new digital camcorders and a few digital still cameras. Members were also shown a new JVC super VHS video recorder at a new low breakthrough price. A very pleasant and thought provoking evening was rounded off with a superb buffet provided by our hosts Sid and Dot. The club would like to record it's gratitude to all who contributed in any way to make the evening the success it was.
